Notes:
UD fibers are the most resistant of the stranded materials (UD, braid, tape), but are somewhat less pliable and more difficult to place into certain shapes, such as a loop. They are recommended when maximum resistance and reinforcement is preferred. They are easily split lengthwise with a blade to obtain narrower sections.
