The problem:
The problem with a constant-tapered instrument
is canals do not have a constant taper.
Constant-tapered instruments “fight”
the natural variable taper of the canal
(like trying to fit a square peg into a
round hole). Due to the inherent design
of a constant-tapered instrument, it will
always under-prepare the apical 1/3, over-prepare
the coronal and require too many instruments
to complete a case.
V-Taper™
design:
But now with superior
grinding machines, instrument design and
CAD-CAM, it is possible to produce a V-Taper™
file that simulates the natural variable
taper of the canal. This allows the dentist
to complete high-quality cases more safely,
easily, quickly, with fewer files, and at
a lower cost than ever thought possible.
V-Taper™ (V10, V08, V06): The variable
taper rotary files allow you to attain deeper
apical shapes with fewer instruments and
a more conservative access than with any
other system. Most cases are completed using
2-3 files. The V-Taper™ Rotary System
will result in higher-quality cases which
are easier to irrigate and obturate at considerable
savings in time and instrument cost.
